What
does my bartender wear to my event?
We have
several options for you to chose from. We
accommodate Black Tie Affairs with our
formal attire which is black slacks, white
tuxedo shirts and bowties. We
have formal black-on-black attire, which is black
slacks, paired with black tuxedo shirts with
an optional cardinal colored long neckties.
We have upscale causal attire which is black slacks
and a nice shirt. We also accommodate most
themed events and can come in Hawaiian, Halloween, 80’s,
football parties with team jerseys and
NASCAR themed attire too. Call with
any questions 323-942-9877.
What
do the bartenders bring with them to my
event?
We come prepared.
We bring several large ice buckets, separate wine buckets, ice scoops, liquor pours, cutting boards and paring knives, bottle
openers, can openers, wine bottle openers,
several cocktail shakers, pitchers, bar spoons, bar towels
and other miscellaneous bar
tools. And
should you not have bar space available, we
can bring a 5' long table and black linen
table cloth at no additional charge.
Are
Celebrity Bartender’s, licensed
bartenders?
There is no
such thing as a licensed bartender in
California. However, San Bernardino County
requires that bartenders be tested on food
handling safety procedures and then be
permitted or licensed as a Certified Food
Service Worker, which we are. Establishments
that sell alcohol to paying patrons are
licensed by the Department of Alcohol
Beverage Control. Since we are not in the
business of reselling alcoholic beverages,
we are not required to hold a ABC Liquor
License. We provide a service to clients
whom provide their own alcohol
and are planning an hosting an open bar
(free drinks) to their guests. Should you
wish to be compensated for the drinks by
your guests, please search for a catered
bartending company that has a liquor
license, who can provide this service for
you. Rest assured, our bartenders are highly
trained and professional individuals who
have extensive experience behind the bar.
All of our bartenders have been recruited
because of their high level of
professionalism that they bring to this
industry and the performance in which they
deliver it. Have no doubt that you are
getting a professionally trained bartender
from Celebrity Bartender. All of our
bartenders are trained to identify guests
who may need to be politely cut off from
having anymore alcohol beverage service. We
will also communicate with the host about
any guests we feel should not have anymore
to drink. We take your safety very seriously
as well as the safety of others.
What
about liability insurance for my event?
Your private event is not
covered by another company’s general
liability insurance policy regarding any
alcohol related injury. A company's general
liability insurance policy only covers
non-alcohol related activity, such as if the
bartender damages your personal property. So if you are
doing some price comparisons, just know that
a company's general liability insurance
policy, does not cover your private party or
your guests regarding any alcohol related
injury. If you want to cover your event
regarding any alcohol related injury,
accident or incident, you would need to
inquire about a Liquor Liability Insurance
Policy, which covers losses relating to
alcohol related activities, which will greatly increase your
cost of service. At this time, we do not
offer a Liquor Liability Insurance Policy to
bind your private party, simply because it
is cost prohibited to do so and would make
our services unaffordable. If you are having
a party in your own home, your homeowner’s
insurance policy should cover your guests
while inside your house and on your
property. Contact your insurance agent for
further information about your coverage. If
your event is going to be held at a private
facility which you are renting, please
inquire about their insurance coverage as
well. Having been in business for over five
years, we have given exceptional service for
hundreds of events, having served thousands
of guests, without one incident.
How
many bartenders will I need for my event?
One bartender can easily
handle 100 guests but if you’re having a
wedding with 250 guests, you will need two
bartenders or at least one bartender and a
bar-back, to ensure good service for your
guests. One thing is for sure, we will not
try and up sell you services that you do not
need. One bartender can handle 100 people
and will save you money. But if you want to look
like you spent a fortune and spared no
expense for your quests, we can help by
offering discounts on additional staff. We
are here to help you plan and pull off the
perfect party, every time.
What
kind of mixed drinks should I offer my
guests and will Celebrity Bartender provide
the alcohol for my event?
We have an
extensive Drink Menu and can offer your
guests just about anything they can come up
with. Upon booking, you will be supplied
several sample cocktail menus to review. We
have our Top
Ten Menu of the cocktails that can be made with the same
base alcohol, juices and mixers to work
within any budget. Then we have the Standard
15 and 20 cocktails that can be made with
just adding another bottle of liquor or two,
to our Top Ten Menu. We also have a
sophisticated Martini Menu, the always fun Tropical
Menu, a Halloween Menu, a delicious Shot
Menu, a Specialty Cocktail
Menu, and we can always create a customized cocktail
menu especially for you. We come prepared with copies of
your final menu ready to be placed on your
bar, so your guests can easily order their
preferred cocktails. We also help you with
providing you a detailed and itemized shopping list for all of
the supplies you will need to have on hand
for your expected number of guests. Items
such as the alcohol,
mixers, juices, cups, cocktail napkins,
toothpicks, garnishes, etc., but we are
not in the liquor resale business. Which
means you need to supply the booze. However,
we can assist you in finding a local
beverage distributor, who will deliver your
supplies to the location of your event. We
can serve and mix your cocktails but we
cannot sell them, meaning we will not work a
cash bar where you are trying to collect
payment for the drinks that you are serving
at your event. So, if you are having a party where
you are planning to host an open bar, free
drinks to your guests, we are your perfect
choice. If not, you will need to look for a
Bartending Service Company with a Liquor
License that will bartend a cash bar for
you, as we will not. Our niche is Open Bar
Service only, meaning no charge to your
guests for drinks. Our motto is "An Open Bar
Makes You The Star." Should you not
have a bar, we can bring a 5' long
table and a black linen table cloth at no
additional charge. Or, we
can refer you to a rental company should you
wish to rent a bar.
Essentially, any table covered with a white
or black tablecloth, can act as a bar and
save you money. Indoors, any flat surface in
your home works too and a little bit of
creativity goes a long way.
What is
a good tip for my bartender?
A good bartender deserves a good tip. A good
tip usually depends on the number of invited
guests and is collected over the course of
the event through the use of the bartender’s
crystal tip jar. Our bartenders always ask
your permission prior to placing a tip jar
on your bar. If you prefer that there be no
tip jar at your private party, just tell
your bartender that you will tip them for
their service at the end of the event. The
amount of the tip is at your discretion. If
a tip jar is allowed, that is usually a
sufficient tip for your bartender and you
should feel relieved of further tipping.
Unless you know that your guests didn’t tip
very well, which is unusual, or in the event
you are having a small intimate gathering.
With a tip jar present, a good night's tips
average $100.00. When there is no tip jar
present, guests still try to tip us for good
service and often ask us where the tip jar
is, because we provide such exceptional
service. We try to remember what your quests
were drinking, we commit their drink
preferences to memory and have their beer
cold, the wine ready and anticipate your
quests every need, including taking the
rubbish from their hands as they walk by. We
are so good in fact, most of our work comes
from your guests. Your guests are so
impressed by our level of service that they
will request our business cards at your bar. Then, the next
time that they’re throwing a party, they're
hiring the bartender that you had. You'll
end up on their guest list and we all end up
good friends and it is our distinct pleasure
to continue to celebrate with you year after
year.
